A Hanukkah Message of Activism
The Hanukkah festival is eight days, and each evening a candle is added to the menorah. These tiny flames represent the 8 days that a small vessel of sacred oil in the Jerusalem Temple remained lit, when it should have only lasted one day. However, the message of the first candle has a separate and different message.
