Video Nasty: Light plane crashes into Ferris wheel in Australia
An ultra-light plane crashed into a Ferris wheel at a rural festival in eastern Australia on Saturday, trapping two children on the ride and two people in the aircraft for hours. There were no serious injuries. The Cheetah S200 carrying two men did not topple the Ferris wheel when it hit the frame near the top on the first morning of an annual three-day festival at Old Bar, a coastal village 220 miles (350 kilometres) north of Sydney. Two children were trapped in a carriage at the top of the wheel near the wrecked plane for 90 minutes. The 53-year-old pilot and his 32-year-old passenger were trapped inside the mangled aircraft more than 30 feet (10 meters) above the ground for almost three hours. Nigel Farage: United States of Europe insane politics
Slovakia's opposition leader says the deal to approve expanding the EU bailout fund has been reached and it will be voted in later this week. Video of LAPD late night raid on Occupy LA
About half of some 500 tents remained in Los Angles below Monday morning eviction deadline for the weeks-old encampment -- one of the largest still remaining in the country. Soon after midnight over a thousand police officers moved in to dismantle the Occupy LA City Hall Camp. Reports also suggest police have closed off streets surrounding the encampment as hundreds waited for what they believed was an imminent operation.
